The update on the first annual Bitterroot Smokin Blues Festival as of May 15, 2004. Tickets are available locally in Hamilton at the Music Box, and Chapter One Bookstore, online at www.bitterrootsmokinblues.com, Worden's and Rockin Rudy's in Missoula. The current lineup on the Street Stage starts off with Richie Blue and a great ensemble including Missoula's Larry Vannek, Big Daddy and the Blue Notes out of Kalispell featuring Steve Kelly, Pat Coast who have a great show, then get set for Joe Houston and the Defrosterz who are bringing along the hottest gal out of LA, Jill Sharpe. Try to get a break in there because next you have Jude Bowerman out of Seattle who is really setting the bar for the whole West coast. Dont sit down, Nick Vigarino will light it up just about dark, setting the tone for one of Montana's all time favorites Cash McCall. Cash will send you off with that special feeling leaving you wanting more. If thats not enough, step into one of the 4 bar venues where we have 8 other bands playing all day until closing time. Rumor has it there will be a Super Jam along about 11 o'clock. If you are still standing that is. We have just booked Johnny Rawls for the Eagles on June 11 one night only, so dont miss it. We are going to try and book any acts that happen to be coming this way, so keep checking these sites for info on coming events. We are still hiring bands for the Festival, so keep checking. Bar Bands include Blue Onion, Little Elmo and the Mambo kings, Joan Zen, Treated and Released, Hog Wild, Skalkaho, Sleeman Gulch Blues Band. Get your tickets Now!
