HI FOLKS! It's way cool to see a local source for what's happening in the blues scene in Montana. As far as I know, the places to see the blues (at least on occasion, if not oftener) are the Top Hat and Sean Kelly's in Zoo-town (that's Missoula for those of you not in the know). Sometimes in Hamilton, you can catch a good gig at the Rainbow Bar on 2nd St. Once in a while Plum Loco in Stevi will have a good band.

Main name acts include Taj Mahal, Keb Mo' (mostly at the U of M theatre), sometimes Charlie Musslewhite, Mark Hummel, and other acts include Cash McCall, Big Daddy and the Bluenotes, North Country Blues....

I hear rumors of a Bitterroot Bluesfest of some sort, maybe occuring on August 14th? Anyone got any more details?

Keep on promoting the blues! The best way to do that is to GET OUT AND SEE THE BANDS. Economic times are tough and these hard working folk need your support.
